On this podcast I talk to that Stonebridge Road favorite Sacha Opinal. About 2 months ago I took your questions for Sacha. I sent him an email and he responded right away. However, I wanted to interview him. Well took me 2 months to get my act together. It was worth it because he is such a great guy. I have some of his answers on tape and the rest from an email he sent me. Below are his responses. But listen in and enjoy the show.

On this podcast I interview Mr. Chris Evans, Press Officer for Chelmsford City FC. This is a great interview and Mr. Evans gives a thorough report on the current squad. We also talk a bit about the history of the team and some things about the grounds and the town for those of you making the trip for the game. Or, when the weather gets nicer, to check out some of the events.
I found the story of the team very interesting, as they are on an upward curve. It will be a tough match Saturday. The way things are going we may see eachother on the pitch a few more times after April. I include the usual quick updates on all the Fleet teams.
Enjoy.

I've got a great interview with Scott Ginty. We spoke last friday via Skype. Very easy to record and the quality is not bad. We talked about how he was doing with the injury. When he was expected back and the kind of rehab he's doing. Next I talk to Mr. Alex Leith of Lewes. He's the Communications Director and a member of the Club Board. Lewes is another community owned club.We talk about traveling to Lewes, a bit of history, events, famous people. And of course the beer. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. We play them on Wednesday 23rd February and I've included a link to the club and some other stuff.
Enjoy.

I've got a special show for you today. I interview Matthew Delicate. You wouldn't believe how long it takes to ask and answer 10 questions. Matthew was kind enough to spend some of his time talking about playing the the US. You may remember that Matthew had a cup of coffee with Ebbsfleet back in 2009. He only played 3 games. Matthew was born in Wales and grew up in Kent. He went to the Virginia Commonwealth University. How he got there is an interesting story, as well as his connection to another Fleet favorite, Ross Smith.

New MYFC Podcast Show No. 21
This podcast was recorded before the FA Trophy game against Droylsden. It's like a time capsule. Listen in. You'll be transported back to a time, on Friday right before the game. Just keep it there.
My special guest, Charles Webster and I talk about the weather and how it could affect the Kent County cup. Then we go over the 3-2 win against Dorchester and the 1-0 win against Hampton and Borough. 6 quick points and the Fleet is back up to 3rd. Next we look at the newest Fleet player, Ryan Blake. Then I give a quick recap of the Ladies and Youth scores, followed by an up to the minute (as of Friday 1/14/11) snapshot of what's happening on the myfootballclub website. I spotlight the MYFC bookclub.

I’ve got a special edition of the podcast for you. Yesterday I spoke to Steve Jarvis the programme editor for Droylsden FC, the team we’ll be playing Saturday in the next round of the FA Trophy. Steve was kind enough to give me a few minutes to talk about his team. We talk a little about their style of play and the history of the club. I have a senior moment and forget that Ebbsfleet played Droylsden back in 2007-2008 season. Steve recounts the 2008-2009 FA Cup saga against Chesterfield. Another senior moment for me, since it was all over the Non League show. A bit about this years match against Leyton Orient. We end with a little tour of the surrounding area. If you’re traveling up tomorrow, don’t forget the King’s Head Pub.

On this edition of the podcast Charles and I talk about the 2-1 win against Dartford. The Fleet just keep rolling on, and this time, 2-1 was really a kind score. Charles makes the point that we’ve also found our penalty taker. Just one more weapon in our arsenal. There’s an open call by Charles to run the numbers on penalties given to opposing teams at home this year. Another aspect of a team playing well is that the opposing team gets more penalties. Whether it’s frustration or bad play, the Fleet has benefited all year.
We talk a little about the upcoming game against Lewes and then the turnaround to play Braintree. I get excited about the Town of Lewes. Medieval towns do that for me. I find out how old Charles really is and I inadvertently put him in a tight spot where he has to mention a Tottenham rival. That’s right, Charles talks about this show’s Fleet Legend, Jimmy Logie. Possibly the best player to don the shirt. We end our talk with Charles wishing everyone a happy new year. I then go through some of the latest news on the MYFC website. At this time there are 2 live votes. They’ll end on January 5th. I talk about the Christmas Pledge and the all important commercial meeting to discuss new finance ideas and a plan for the rest of the year. That will also take place January 5th.
